Michael Jackson dominiert die (Verkaufs-)Charts

Baden-Baden (dpa) - Michael Jackson hat posthum die Charts zurückerobert. 24 Singles und neun Alben haben sich in den aktuellen deutschen Charts platziert, wie das Marktforschungsinstitut Media Control in Baden-Baden mitteilte.
«Einen derartigen Ansturm haben wir in 32 Jahren noch nie erlebt und werden es wohl auch nie wieder», sagte Media-Control-Geschäftsführerin Ulrike Altig. «Knapp 60 Prozent aller Verkäufe der LP-Top-Ten entfielen allein auf Jackson-Platten.»
In den Album-Charts stürmte Michael Jackson direkt auf die Plätze eins und zwei: Das Best-Of-Album «King Of Pop» platzierte sich vor «Thriller». Mit «Number Ones» auf Position sieben und «Bad» auf Platz neun landeten zwei weitere Alben in den Top Ten. «The Collection» kam auf Rang 19. Weitere Platzierungen: «Dangerous» (23), «History - Past, Present and Future» (26), der Konzert-Mitschnitt «Live In Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour» (31) und «Essential Michael Jackson» (35).
Jackson drückte auch den Single-Charts seinen Stempel auf. Bestplatzierter Song wurde «Thriller» auf Platz neun - die Single erreichte damit in Deutschland jetzt eine höhere Platzierung als zu Lebzeiten Jacksons, wie Media Control berichtete. Außerdem kehrten unter anderem «Earth Song» (12), «Beat It» (14), «Billie Jean» (18), «Heal The World» (21), «Dirty Diana» (22), «They Don't Care About Us» (26) oder der Jackson-Five-Song «I Want You Back» (91) in die Single-Charts zurück. Die kompletten Charts werden offiziell am kommenden Freitag veröffentlicht.
